ASHTA Follows Strict COVID-19 Safety Protocols, Donates Safety Items

The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic raises more questions than answers. When will we have a vaccine? When can all businesses swing into full operations? What is the safest way to operate in this climate?

As an essential business, ASHTA never ceased operations, and there has been no interruptions in supplying our customers. However, what has changed is the number of additional safety requirements we must follow, and we will continue to strictly adhere to the guidelines. As leaders in the chemistry industry, we are accustomed to following strict protocols—it’s in our DNA. We’re proud that our employees have carefully followed every guideline and that we have not had one case of COVID-19 among our team.

As the pandemic struck the U.S., we recognized that we had a good inventory of safety items that we could donate. We provided N95 masks, coveralls and protective gloves to Ashtabula County Medical Center, which had limited supplies and protective gear for its COVID-19 patients.

As we look ahead, we will continue to enforce a travel ban on nonessential travel. Our sales team will continue to operate from their home offices, at least through July. As we continue to follow conservative safety protocols, we remain focused on providing our customers with the same reliable service and high-quality products they have come to expect from ASHTA.
